HELP QUITTING TOBACCO

Quitting tobacco use is not easy, but there are things you can do to make your quit attempt more likely to succeed.

Please see our information on why it is important to quit, along with a summary of how to prepare for quitting.

Get help. Don’t try to do it alone.

  • Seek support from your family and friends.
  • Talk with your healthcare provider about your desire to quit. Call the Ohio Tobacco QUIT LINE at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669).
  • There are support services, including individual and group counseling opportunities in many areas of the state. Look for them at local hospitals and through various non-profit organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the American Lung Association.
